Why This Role Matters
As a Field Officer you will provide expert advice, guidance, and representation to senior leaders across the region. You will be a trusted partner and strategic ally in their leadership journey, delivering ASCL’s mission of speaking on behalf of members and acting on behalf of children and young people.
Who We’re Looking For
We seek someone with credibility, empathy, and insight who has walked in the shoes of our members. The role requires up‑to‑date knowledge and experience of the issues facing senior leadership teams in schools and colleges, and the ability to interact at a senior level. Ideally, you have held a senior leadership position within a school, college, or trust within the last two years. Business/HR leaders with extensive school and employment rights experience, or leaders at or above deputy headteacher level, are best suited.
What You’ll Be Doing
Residents in the region will work predominantly from home, with occasional travel to meet members and employers. Regular contact with, and visits to, ASCL HQ in Leicester and professional development sessions will occur. IT and telephone equipment will be provided.
