About the Role

This is a part‑time, mornings‑only role starting in Term 6 (June).

  • Provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with SEMH and trauma‑related needs.
  • Support the pupil during morning sessions (8:30 am–12:30 pm, Monday to Friday).
  • Help the pupil regulate emotions, engage with learning and feel safe in the classroom.
  • Implement consistent routines, boundaries and behaviour strategies.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support.
  • Pay from £14.25 per hour.

Ideal Candidate

  • Has experience supporting children with SEMH, trauma or behavioural needs.
  • Is calm, patient and emotionally intelligent in their approach.
  • Can build a trusting and consistent relationship with the pupil.
  • Is resilient and confident managing challenging behaviour.
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
