The Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in keeping learning on track in the absence of the class teacher. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering pre‑planned lessons and ensuring students remain engaged.
• Managing classroom behaviour and creating a calm, focused learning environment.
• Supporting students with their work where needed.
• Taking accurate registers and providing clear handover notes for teaching staff.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff.

Requirements:

• Be confident managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have a genuine passion for supporting young people in education.
• Be able to provide suitable references, hold a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply), and have the right to work in the UK.
• All candidates must have a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before starting work.
