Responsibilities

Here’s what your journey with us entails:

  • Assist the Chef de Partie: In preparing ingredients, cooking components of dishes, and assembling plates according to recipes and specifications.
  • Manage a designated section: Of the kitchen, such as sauces, vegetables, or desserts, under the guidance of the Chef de Partie.
  • Ensure food quality and presentation: By adhering to portioning and plating standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization: In your work area, including workstations and equipment.
  • Support team collaboration: By coordinating tasks and communicating effectively with other kitchen staff.
  • Handle food ingredients properly: Following hygiene and safety procedures to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Assist in training junior staff and commis chefs: Providing guidance and support.
  • Monitor inventory and stock levels: For your section, reporting shortages and assisting with orders.
  • Participate in quality control measures: Including taste testing and visual inspection of dishes.

Safety and Company Policies

  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Support the team to reach common goals.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
