Job Summary
St. Mary’s is a small rural school located in the beautiful village of Bentworth, only 5 miles from Alton.
We have a strong Christian ethos and a special family atmosphere that infiltrates into all that we do in our school. Relationships between staff, pupils, governors and parents at the school are excellent.
Location: St. Mary’s Bentworth Church of England Primary School, Church Street, Alton, Hampshire.
Responsibilities
- Drive a minibus safely and within the law and Highway Code to pick children up before school and drop them back after school
- Support the school in its adherence to safeguarding
- Ensure vehicles are serviceable, roadworthy, clean inside and out
- Plan routes with due regard to safety, time and economy
- Be courteous at all times
- Occasionally be available to drive the minibus on school trips, which will be during the day
Qualifications
- Have a D1(101) bus driving licence
- Be MIDAS trained (or willing to work towards)
- Have the ability to drive a minibus
- Have good time management skills
- Be able to relate to children
- Have a good understanding of and commitment to safeguarding and always put the needs of the children first
