Automower Technician

Location: Esher

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, including 1-hour unpaid lunch)

The Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the installation, servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair of robotic lawnmowers and associated equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in a technical, hands-on environment.

The role combines both workshop-based and on-site work, including outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of Automowers, including boundary and guide wires at customer locations
• Support machine commissioning, including software setup and testing
• Ensure all installations meet manufacturer and company standards
• Carry out routine servicing and seasonal maintenance (with supervision where required)
• Assist in diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and software-related faults
• Replace parts and carry out repairs accurately and efficiently
• Deliver a professional and friendly service to customers on-site
• Explain basic operation and maintenance procedures to customers
• Support aftersales enquiries and assist with troubleshooting
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Accurately complete job cards, service reports, and warranty documentation
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures
• Attend internal and manufacturer training to develop product knowledge

Skills & Attributes Essential

• Keen interest in machinery, electronics, or engineering
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
• Professional and approachable manner with customers
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• Previous experience in groundcare, machinery, electrical, or mechanical repair
• Basic IT skills or familiarity with software system
