About The Role
To provide a reliable, efficient and professional Repairs Technician service across local communities, delivering day-to-day repairs, cyclical works and support to compliance activities where required.
The role will promote Wheatley Homes South’s “Think Yes” approach by delivering excellent customer service through effective communication, appointment keeping, safe working practices and a Right First‑Time mindset. The Repairs Technician will support the delivery of high‑quality repairs and make‑safe works, working collaboratively with customers and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes while ensuring all activities are completed in line with Wheatley Homes South standards, health and safety requirements, and relevant legislative and regulatory compliance obligations.

The Ideal Candidate Will

- maintain high standards in the quality of work and ensure repairs are completed Right First Time wherever possible.
- support the delivery of damp and mould works, including identifying concerns, carrying out agreed remedial works and escalating issues where required.
- be self‑motivated and effectively manage workload, appointments and time.
- attend all team meetings, toolbox talks, training sessions and participate fully in the My Contribution appraisal process.
- commit to continuous professional development through formal and informal learning opportunities.
- work in accordance with current Health and Safety legislation, policies and procedures, including taking responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others who may be affected by work activities, including compliance with CDM 2015 requirements.
- adhere to the principles and requirements of Wheatley Group’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies and Customer Service Standards.
- undertake duties appropriate to the role of Repairs Technician at the employee’s base location or any other Wheatley Group establishment as required by the business.
