About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts and Administration Assistant to join our Finance and Operations team. This is more than a transactional role—it’s about supporting the financial and operational backbone of the organisation while ensuring a smooth experience for students, partners and stakeholders.

You’ll play a key role in managing student finance processes, supporting training delivery operations, coordinating with partners and instructors, and helping to improve systems and processes as we continue to grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Process student invoicing, training course fees and workshop billing accurately and on time.
  • Monitor student accounts, follow up outstanding payments and respond to account queries.
  • Liaise with the Student Loans Company (SLC) on funding, payments and reconciliations.
  • Support accounts payable processes, including purchase orders, supplier invoices and payment runs.
  • Coordinate administration for professional training courses, including scheduling, partner liaison and instructor bookings.
  • Prepare training quotations and support contract and partner administration.
  • Maintain accurate financial and operational records, ensuring compliance with internal processes and GDPR.
  • Contribute to reporting, tracking and continuous improvement across finance and operations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in an accounts administration or operational support role.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with invoicing, purchase orders, financial records or account reconciliation.
  • Confident communicator, able to work with students, suppliers and partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks or similar).
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience in higher education, training providers or professional services.
  • Familiarity with SLC processes, contract administration or GDPR requirements.
  • Experience coordinating training delivery or operational logistics.
