Class 1 HGV Driver

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, adhering to all road transport regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain a Class 1 HGV vehicle.
• Conduct pre- and post-vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Secure and transport goods efficiently and without damage.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and digital logs accurately.
• Adhere to all tachograph, Working Time Directive, and road safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding any issues or delays.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license.
• Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Proven experience as an HGV Class 1 driver.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks.
• A strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• No more than 6 points on your license (for insurance purposes).
• Excellent time management and communication skills.

Schedule & Benefits

This role offers ongoing work. This role is Monday to Friday with varied start times anywhere from 4am-8am with shifts lasting 8-12 hours. This position pays £16.50 per hour via PAYE and up to £19 per hour via umbrella.
