Overview
As a Chef de Partie at Britannic Explorer, a Belmond Train, you are part of a team responsible for the execution of fine dining dishes, ensuring that every component is prepared to perfection and contributes to an exceptional culinary experience on board. In this role, working under the guidance of the Executive Chef, you will ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities
- This is a seasonal role which runs from March to December 2026
- Preparing, cooking and plating dishes according to established recipes and guidelines
- Ensuring that the quality and quantity standards of preparations are adhered to
- Maintaining the quality, flavour and consistency of all items coming from your station
- Supervising and training junior kitchen staff working with you in your section
- Keeping track of ingredient levels and assisting in maintaining inventory
- Adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and hygienic work area
Requirements
- Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK
- 2-4 years’ experience within a similar role, ideally as a Demi Chef de Partie or similar position in a fine dining or upscale restaurant
- Culinary training or degree in culinary arts is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to be innovative
