Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Apprenticeship Data and Compliance Coordinator to lead the administration, data management, and quality assurance of our apprenticeship provision. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our apprenticeship programme at Sandwell College.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end‑to‑end data management of our apprenticeship provision. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of learner records—from enrolment through to completion—while maintaining full compliance with ESFA funding regulations. Lead internal audits, support external inspections, manage ILR data through systems like PICS and PDSAT, and respond to audit findings. Issue employer contracts, manage the Apprenticeship Service Account, and coordinate employer incentive payments. Collaborate with internal teams and stay current with changing funding rules.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Full Level 3 qualification or substantial relevant experience
  • Minimum of three years experience in apprenticeship data and compliance
  • Proven track record of managing ILR data using PICS
  • Experience interpreting PDSAT reports and applying ESFA funding rules
  • Experience supporting audits and inspections, including Ofsted and ESFA
  • Familiarity with OneFile and the DfE Apprenticeship Service
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of an organisation
