Are you an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver (C+E) looking for reliable, ongoing work with great rates and flexible shifts?
Class 1 Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a leading national parcel delivery company based in Chelmsford. This is a fantastic opportunity for professional drivers seeking steady trunking work, minimal manual handling, and shifts planned in advance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Class 1 trunking between depots and distribution centres nationwide
- Clean, straightforward work with minimal manual handling
- Average shift length of 9-10 hours
- Early morning, day, and night shifts available
- Shift schedules provided 1 week in advance
- Guaranteed minimum of 7.25 hours pay per shift
- Ongoing temporary work with regular hours
Pay Rates
£20.53 – £24.40 per hour
Rates vary depending on shift times worked.
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience
- At least 180 driving days completed in the last 12 months
- Maximum of 3 penalty points
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Assessment & Vetting
Successful applicants will be required to:
- Complete a 4-hour driving assessment
- Pass an infringement check
- Complete full vetting, including a DBS check
