It is a prominent importer and distributor of traditional East Asian cuisine in the UK, supplying Chinese restaurants, takeaways, stores, and wholesalers across the country. The company is presently looking for a junior buyer who is eager, self‑motivated, and self‑driven to join the team.
Job Requirements
- Previous purchasing experience is beneficial.
- It is advantageous to have knowledge about Oriental ethnic foods.
- Able to work independently and versatile.
- Able to work both as a member of a team and independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Have prior expertise with stock control and ordering.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, as well as the ability to interact with people at all levels.
- Excellent time management, prioritisation, negotiating, and organisational abilities.
- The ability to function well under duress.
- Proven numeracy abilities, such as budgeting, forecasting, and analysing.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel competency.
- Mandarin and Cantonese fluency.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
