Job Description:

Five Education is working with a specialist SEN provision in Bristol to recruit a committed and compassionate SEN Teacher to work with a KS3 class of pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

Role

  • Deliver engaging, individualised learning experiences tailored to students with complex needs.
  • Plan and deliver adapted lessons to meet the needs of pupils with PMLD.
  • Lead a classroom supported by Teaching Assistants and support staff.
  • Manage EHCP targets, progress tracking, and communication plans.
  • Support pupils’ sensory, physical, and communication needs.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.
  • Complete marking, assessment, and planning responsibilities in line with a paid-to-scale role.
  • Work collaboratively with therapists, SENCOs, and families.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with SEN pupils, ideally within a specialist or inclusive setting.
  • A strong understanding of, or interest in, supporting children with PMLD.
  • Ability to deliver creative, flexible, and differentiated teaching approaches.
  • Strong teamwork and classroom leadership skills.
  • Applicants without a formal SEN specialism will be considered if they can demonstrate relevant SEN experience and a passion for inclusive education.
  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship or Skilled Worker visa accepted).
  • Provide two recent references (from the last two years).
  • Hold a current DBS check registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.

Pay

Paid to scale (MPS/UPS) and reflective of experience and responsibilities, including planning and marking.

Five Education operates a PAYE payroll with transparency and no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer’s NI. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does not include holiday pay.
