Salary: £95 – £115 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Northumberland. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience and develop your skills in a supportive school environment.

About the Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and assist pupils with their learning across a range of subjects. You will work with individuals and small groups, helping to build confidence, improve understanding, and encourage positive behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning across the classroom
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils
  • Assist with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Encourage student engagement and participation
  • Support pupils with varying abilities, including those with SEN
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times

Requirements:

  • A degree in any subject
  • Passion for working with children and young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and positive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
  • Flexible and reliable approach to work
