We are looking for a Peripatetic Chef to support our care homes across the region. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high‑quality fresh food to multiple teams and homes while enjoying a balanced working pattern.
Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare menus that meet nutritional requirements for residents.
- Cook and serve fresh seasonal food across multiple care homes.
- Ensure food hygiene and safety standards are consistently met.
- Create a warm and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
- Engage with residents to provide supportive, person‑centred service.
- Manage kitchen operations and support kitchen staff as needed.
Qualifications
- NVQs/SVQs or City & Guilds equivalent.
- Up‑to‑date food hygiene certification.
- Strong kitchen management skills.
- Good understanding of nutrition.
- Experience working with fresh seasonal food.
- Personable approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents.
- Confidence engaging with residents.
