About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Brixton, Lambeth. This role is based within the school’s Autism Resource Provision (ARP), supporting pupils with severe autism. This is a rewarding and hands‑on position, ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with severe autism
- Assist with personal care, where required
- Support students with communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation
- Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver tailored learning support
- Help create a structured, safe, and nurturing environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children with Autism / SEN (essential)
- Comfortable supporting students with personal care needs
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
