About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom to deliver pre-set work and ensure lessons run smoothly when teachers are absent. You will be responsible for maintaining order, supporting student understanding where possible, and ensuring a calm and productive atmosphere throughout the lesson.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a variety of subjects
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work
- Provide basic guidance and support during lessons
- Report on student behaviour and lesson outcomes
- Uphold a safe and respectful learning environment
Requirements
- Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Confidence leading a class independently
- A calm, adaptable and professional approach
- A genuine interest in supporting student learning
