We are recruiting reliable HGV Class 2 refuse drivers to work with a well‑established waste and recycling service based in Kingsbridge, Devon. This is a physically active driving role combining vehicle operation with hands‑on collections.

Location

Kingsbridge, Devon. Within easy reach of South Brent, Totnes, Paignton, Plymouth, and surrounding South Devon towns.

Salary

£17.65 per hour PAYE Advance. Other PAYE models are available.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Category C (Class 2) refuse and recycling vehicle on designated routes.
• Assisting with the collection, loading, and unloading of waste and recycling bins.
• Liaising with depot staff for daily route instructions and updates.
• Carrying out basic vehicle checks and reporting any issues promptly.
• Following all health and safety guidelines on and off the road.

Qualifications

Essential

• A valid Cat C (Class 2) driving licence.
• In‑date CPC and digital tachograph cards.
• No more than 6 points on your licence and no DR, DD, or IN endorsements.
• Physically capable of handling bins and containers.
• Own transport to travel to the depot.
• A mobile phone for receiving route and schedule information.

Desirable

• Prior experience in waste collection or multi‑drop driving.
• A strong working knowledge of South Devon routes and areas.
