Class 1 Driver – Telford

Position with a well-established client in Telford.

Daily Duties

• Operate and drive Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure timely, safe and professional deliveries to customer sites
• Knowledge of driving/working hours
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Keep truck and equipment clean and tidy

Essential Skills

• Held licence for minimum 6 months
• Minimum 6 months experience in HGV driving
• No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes
• Must be able to speak and read English at required level
• Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills
• Effective communication skills
• Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicle beneficial

Training Provided

• Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
