Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant (Scale 2)

We require a Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with children to join our caring school.

Responsibilities

• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school.
• Provide general assistance to teaching staff throughout the school.
• Occasionally provide cover for whole classes or when required.
• Work calmly with any incidents that may arise and provide basic first aid where necessary.

Qualifications

Experience working with children, particularly in a school setting; strong communication and interpersonal skills; awareness of different learning needs including special educational needs; effective behaviour management skills; enthusiasm, flexibility, reliability and commitment to raising pupil achievement while safeguarding children and contributing positively to school life and teamwork.
