Pay Rate: £130-£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Overview

Education Personnel is partnering with a progressive secondary school in Matlock to recruit a dedicated Maths Teacher for a full‑time position starting September 2026. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS4 and potentially KS5.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the KS3 & KS4 Maths curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced.
• Plan, prepare, and assess Maths lessons in line with department policy.
• Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions.
• Contribute to department improvement and plan Maths teaching.
• Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching Maths experience in a UK secondary setting.
• Is passionate about education and student achievement.
• Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
• Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life.
