Grade: 4 (£31,611 – £33,987) pro‑rate, term time only, split shift 25 hours per week (£18,894).

At the London Borough of Havering’s Passenger Travel Services, we provide quality, cost‑effective transport services for adults and children with learning or physical difficulties.
Our main purpose is to convey such passengers to Day Centres or Schools and return them home, ensuring safety and efficient route scheduling.
About the Job
The Transport PCV Drivers carry out the following:
- Operate 25 hours per week term‑time split shift (Monday to Friday).
- Drive PCV vehicles of various sizes and use tail lifts.
- Safely convey adults and children with disabilities with a passenger assistant in attendance.
- Assist with ad‑hoc work including out‑of‑borough trips or overseas duties.
- Maintain high safety performance standards and work as part of a large team.
About You
- Experience conveying or working with vulnerable clients (adults & children).
- Experience driving PCV vehicles (Large & Small) and using tail lifts.
- High safety performance standards and team collaboration.
- Good communication and clear writing skills.
- Practical, efficient and able to prioritise workload in a busy environment.
- Enthusiastic and proactive, seeking opportunities to improve quality and productivity.
- Flexible with working hours, including overtime.
- Holder of a clean minimum Category D licence.
- Desirable: Holder of a Digital Tacho Card.
- Desirable: Holder of a DQC – must be gained within 12 months; successful candidates receive training.
