We are a specialist education recruitment agency working with a well‑established SEN school in Preston to appoint a Teacher of the Deaf for a long‑term or permanent position. This role is ideal for an experienced or newly qualified specialist looking to make a real difference within a supportive SEN environment.

Location: Preston Start Date: ASAP / September 2026Pay: Competitive daily rate in comparison to experience

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored teaching to pupils with hearing impairment and additional SEN
• Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
• Work collaboratively with therapists, SEN staff, and families
• Contribute to EHCP planning, targets, and reviews

Requirements

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential
• Teacher of the Deaf qualification (or working towards)
• Experience within SEN / hearing impairment settings
• Strong understanding of inclusive and differentiated teaching
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
