Overview

Salary: £25,073 to £28,108 Per annum. Posts will initially be offered at the minimum salary point with progression to the higher salary point achieved through an annual incremental pay rise.

Role

Porter & Building Attendant Supervisor to manage and support our dedicated teams across our Nottingham sites. In this role, you will oversee a team of Porter & Building Attendants, ensuring the highest standards of safety, service, and student experience in our Halls of Residence. As a Supervisor, you will lead by example, guiding your team to deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining the security, safety, and daily maintenance of the buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing the team
  • Allocating resources
  • Delivering training, team briefs and staff meetings
  • Monitoring performance and standards
  • Helping us improve working practices and systems of working
  • Providing a reactive service across our locations

The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, positive, have a keen eye for detail and be willing and able to step in and help deliver our Porter and Building Attendant Halls services as and when required. Due to the frequency that you will travel around University sites a full, current driving license with UK entitlements is essential for this post.   • Porter & Building Attendant Halls – Supervisor (Early Shift) 36.25 Hours

Core hours: 08:00 – 20:00

  • 8-week rotating pattern
  • 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off
  • 51-minute rest break
  • Around 13 extra rest days each year (to reduce contracted hours back down to 36.25)
  • Part-time options considered, based on 2 full days or 4 half days within the 4-day patterns
  • Porter & Building Attendant Halls – Supervisor (Late Shift) 36.25

Core hours: 20:00 – 08:00

  • 8-week rotating pattern
  • 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off
  • 51-minute rest break
  • Around 13 extra rest days each year (to reduce contracted hours back down to 36.25)
  • Part-time options considered, based on 2 full days or 4 half days within the 4-day patterns

The position will be offered on a permanent basis working throughout the full calendar year, 52-weeks of the year. Unsocial hours worked between 10pm and 6am or hours worked on a Saturday / Sunday attract a 15% additional payment.
