Overview

voco Grand Central Hotel are looking for our next Mixologist to join us in creating a warm voco welcome for our guests. Full and Part Time roles available with an immediate start.

Our voco Grand Central stands in Glasgow’s city centre, offering un-stuffy service and a warm Glasgow welcome to business and leisure guests. The hotel features the biggest ballroom in Scotland with natural light and the Champagne Central Bar, and holds over 140 years of culture, history, and storytelling.

Love the buzz of a busy cocktail bar, the sparkle of champagne, and the thrill of creating unforgettable moments? This role invites energy, confidence, attention to detail, personality, and showmanship to one of Glasgow’s iconic venues.

Responsibilities

  • Mix and serve drinks, entertain and educate guests while discussing spirits, providing trivia and history about various alcohols to keep customers engaged.
  • Create and adapt signature cocktails while incorporating seasonal trends and guest preferences.
  • Maintain a high level of guest engagement, hospitality, and a warmly hosted experience in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Availability to work Full Time 40 hours per week (part-time also available).
  • A personal license (highly beneficial).
  • Previous experience as a Senior Bartender, Cocktail Bartender, or Mixologist, with experience in a busy environment.
  • An un-stuffy, thoughtful approach to service and the ability to showcase personality as a host for guests.
  • Interest in sustainability and a willingness to contribute to a greener environment.
  • Must meet the legal requirements to work in the UK.
