HGV Class 2 Driver. Cat C. Farnborough

Driver Hire is recruiting for a permanent HGV Class 2 driver (Cat C) for a carpet supplies wholesale company in Farnborough.

You will deliver rolls of carpet, laminate and carpet tiles mainly to commercial customers, sometimes to domestic customers. All around the south of England and into London. Vehicles have tail lifts and carpet hoists.

Plenty of hand‑balling necessary, so you’ll need to be physically fit.

Plenty of overtime is available, along with commission for collecting poles and pallets … so you could expect to earn a decent salary. Makes up for the long days if in London!

Benefits, Hours and Pay of the Cat C, HGV Class 2 Driver

• £18 per hour basic
• Drivers expected to earn around £44 000 per annum
• Overtime also available
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
• 6 am start
• Job and finish
• Pension scheme enrolment

Responsibilities of the Cat C, HGV Class 2 Driver

• Daily walk round checks
• Be prepared to help plan your route for the day
• Deliver products in a timely manner whilst being able to complete all paperwork
• Use lifting and moving equipment to safely unload product to clients
• Adhere to all drivers’ hours and tacho regulations

Requirements of the Cat C, HGV Class 2 Driver

• UK licence with Cat C entitlement
• CPC card
• Digi tacho card
• Verifiable references
• Maximum 6 minor penalty points
