Job Overview

Academics are seeking passionate Team Teach Trained SEMH Teaching Assistants to join a specialist school in Wickford. This is an opportunity to make a difference in a supportive and nurturing environment, with potential for long‑term and permanent job opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Build secure relationships with children & young people
• Understand the specific needs of the children, especially those with trauma
• Support pupils with social and emotional needs
• Work 1:1 with the pupil

Qualifications

• Must have an Enhanced DBS on the updated service or be willing to apply for a new one
• Excellent communication and behaviour‑management skills
• Previous experience working with children or adults in a caring capacity
• Desirable experience: Care work, working in a PRU, SEMH experience
