Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Responsibilities

• Leading whole-class teaching sessions, delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
• Adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs, including SEND and EAL pupils
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive and focused learning environment
• Assessing pupil progress during lessons and providing immediate feedback to support learning
• Collaborating with teachers and support staff to ensure continuity and consistency in pupil outcome
• Contributing to the development and implementation of behaviour support strategies, promoting a positive and safe learning environment for all pupils
