Job Overview


We are looking for a security guard for Westwood Cross Shopping Centre. The role is guest-facing, on a relief basis for a six-month term, minimum 8 hours per week, with required overnight shifts.


Responsibilities



  • Protect client property, people and assets by providing security services in accordance with the site’s Assignment Instructions (AI) and any subsequent changes.

  • Meet or exceed the Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreements with full responsibility and accountability, ensuring contract retention.

  • Follow all policies, legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Account Manager and UK law.

  • Comply with industry legislation – obtain and wear a front‑line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision, and a CCTV PSS SIA licence. Renew licences 16 weeks before expiry.

  • Report any health & safety hazards or incidents promptly and complete detailed notebook entries.

  • Maintain professional conduct with customers and adhere to check‑call schedules.

  • Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge through continuous professional development.


Qualifications



  • Previous security experience.

  • DS SIA licence.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Flexible approach to hours.

  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weathers.
