GSL Education are seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming and inclusive school environment in Dartford. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain classroom experience or those passionate about supporting students’ learning in the absence of the class teacher.
Key Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain engaged in learning activities.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support students in completing tasks and encourage positive learning behaviours.
- Report back to teaching staff on student progress, behaviour, and any issues that arise.
Requirements for the Cover Supervisor role:
- Previous experience working with young people (in schools, tutoring, coaching, or similar settings) is desirable.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A flexible and proactive approach to work.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
