Overview

Teaching Assistant

The Wilnecote School is part of the Community Academies Trust, a multi‑academy trust with the express purpose of transforming schools in community hubs through a holistic view of education.

An exciting opportunity at our state‑of‑the‑art school is available for an enthusiastic, highly‑motivated Teaching Assistant.

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our Student Support team and work with individuals and groups of students who have special educational needs.

Responsibilities

You will work with the Assistant SENCO, inclusion and class teachers to deliver complementary learning activities for pupils with SEND or inclusion needs.

Successful applicants will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and liaise effectively with teachers, pupils and the SEND team.

Qualifications

Candidates should demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills with evidence of grades A*–C or 5+ in Maths and English at GCSE level. Experience of using I.C.T. as a learning tool is an advantage; training will be given.

Experience working with children and/or students is essential. Completion of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferable.
