Teacher – Head of Year

The Governors of La Sainte Union Catholic Secondary School are seeking to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner to join our school as a Teacher with Head of Year responsibility.

Role

• Deliver high-quality teaching within their subject area
• Lead a year group, ensuring outstanding pastoral care, wellbeing and safeguarding
• Drive high expectations for behaviour, attendance and achievement
• Lead and support a team of form tutors
• Work closely with families, staff and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for all pupils
• Implement targeted interventions to support pupil progress and personal development

We are looking for someone who

• Is an excellent teacher with a strong track record in the classroom
• Has the ability or ambition to take on pastoral leadership
• Is highly organised, resilient and proactive
• Builds strong, positive relationships with students, staff and parents
• Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
