We are currently looking for a full-time Stage Door Keeper who will provide exceptional customer service to all who pass through the Stage Door of the Gillian Lynne Theatre. What you’ll be doing…
- Be proactive in ensuring that the Stage Door area is exceptionally well presented at all times.
- Provide a warm welcome for visitors, contractors, visiting company, and our teams entering and exiting the building.
- Uphold robust security protocols, ensuring that only authorised personnel enter backstage areas.
- Monitor CCTV in line with Company policies, reporting any irregularities to appropriate parties.
- Ensure the fire alarm panel is constantly monitored and any anomalies are properly addressed.
- Promptly follow correct procedures in the event of an emergency or security situation.
- Manage the security and door access system centrally from the Stage Door, keeping track of all issued tokens and attendance in the venue.
- Respond efficiently and effectively to the venue’s radio channels when necessary.
- Answer phone calls punctually and professionally, directing callers to the appropriate departments.
- Learn and proficiently use the Company’s compliance and inspection software.
- Log daily information and conduct a thorough handover to colleagues.
- Accept and manage deliveries, keeping the post-room well maintained and organised.
- Manage the venue’s lost property, liaising directly with guests as required.
- Administrative duties including maintaining key logs, permits and relevant equipment.
What we need…
- Experience delivering first-class customer service, and building strong working relationships with a wide range of people.
- Confident communicators that work in a logical, precise and methodical manner.
- Proactive learners that are passionate about theatre, and will continually update their knowledge of the venue, resident production, facilities and departments.
- A conscientious approach; accurate and with an eye for detail and presentation.
- An understanding of health and safety practices and security protocols, ideally in a theatrical environment.
Salary: £16.58 per hour.
Hours will be split across a mix of mornings, evening and weekends between Monday-Sunday. Rotas are issued a month in advance.
