About The Role

We are looking to appoint a well‑qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Teacher of Economics to join our high‑achieving and dynamic Economics department on a full‑time basis from September 2026.

The successful candidate will have solid experience of and demonstrate an enthusiasm for teaching the full Economics syllabus to both Lower and Upper Sixth. Harrodian students follow the AQA specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, teach and assess lessons for Lower and Upper Sixth, covering the full AQA syllabus.
• Deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons that inspire and motivate pupils.
• Maintain excellent classroom management skills.
• Contribute to the planning, teaching and assessment within the department.
• Assist in study‑related trips and events, including school trips to Canary Wharf and participation in competitions such as the Economics Olympiad and the RES Young Economist of the Year Competition.
• Provide pastoral support and participate in co‑curricular activities.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree and experience in industry (preferred).
• Solid experience teaching A Level Economics, preferably the AQA specification.
• Outstanding ability to teach and engaging classroom presence.
• Experience as an ECT is considered but requires relevant degree and useful industry experience.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching and willingness to assist in extracurricular opportunities.
