The successful candidate will provide direct support to a solicitor, helping to manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from initial instruction through to post-completion stages.
Key Tasks
- Submitting SDLT returns and AP1 applications
- Post-completion formalities
Residential Property Paralegal – The Role
You will be involved in all aspects of the conveyancing process, including:
- Opening and setting up new files
- Carrying out AML and compliance checks
- Assisting with exchange and completion matters
- Handling post-completion formalities
- Preparing completion statements and invoices
- Submitting SDLT returns and AP1 applications
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties
- Updating case management systems and maintaining accurate records
- General administrative support to the property team
Residential Property Paralegal – Candidate Requirements
- Previous residential conveyancing experience within a legal environment is essential
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Confident using initiative and managing priorities
- A positive and team‑focused approach
- Excellent attention to detail and client care skills
