SEN Activity Assistant
3 hours a week • £12.71 per hour
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Activity Assistant to work alongside the Health and Wellbeing Team, developing disability activity clubs during term time and school holidays. You will help create an inclusive environment for children and young people aged 7‑19 with Special Educational Needs.
Job Deliverables
- Deliver high‑quality, adaptable and inclusive activities.
- Maintain a high level of communication throughout the sessions with colleagues, children and parents.
- Use a range of communication methods during sessions.
- Be responsible for the safety of participants and colleagues during sessions.
- Provide personal care when required.
- Report any First Aid and Safeguarding incidents to the Leader.
- Contribute input into the development of the programme.
- Attend mandatory training courses.
- Keep up‑to‑date knowledge of Vivacity Inclusive leisure programmes and facilities.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Experience supporting or caring for children or adults with special educational needs, disabilities or long‑term health conditions.
- Experience planning and delivering activities.
- Able to travel to venues.
Desirable
- Level 2 or above in NVQ in Children’s Care, Learning & Development or a relevant qualification.
