Science Teacher Full-Time Opportunity

Are you a passionate and knowledgeable Science Teacher looking for your next full-time opportunity? We are working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in Shrewsbury to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team.

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on your specialism and experience. This full-time Science Teacher role offers the opportunity to inspire curiosity and a love of science in students within a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons as a Science Teacher in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach general science across KS3 and KS4 (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics specialism welcomed)
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • A degree in a Science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
  • Experience teaching science at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A passion for science and student achievement
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities
