Support Workers Required – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Frome, Somerset
Pay: £14.24 per hour
We are currently supporting the mobilisation of a new children’s residential home in Frome, Somerset, and are looking for experienced and committed Support Workers to join us on a temporary basis with immediate start opportunities.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new service setup, supporting a small group of children in a structured, well-supported environment.
About the Role
You will be supporting a small group of young people with learning disabilities, including non-verbal communication needs. The focus of the role is to provide:
- Consistent, attentive supervision
- Emotional and behavioural support
- Assistance with daily routines and personal care (where required)
- Clear, accurate recording of observations
This is a hands-on role requiring patience, awareness, and a calm, professional approach.
Current Requirements
- Multiple staff required (day and night cover)
- Block bookings available
- Immediate shifts from next week
- Ongoing opportunities as the service establishes
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people with learning disabilities and/or complex needs
- Confident supporting individuals who are non-verbal
- Ability to remain calm and consistent in a structured environment
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Flexibility to work across day and night shifts
