This is a mainstream school that caters for children aged 4‑11 years, some of whom have SEN needs, including cognitive needs.
The role will consist of supporting children through 1:1 and within small groups.
The ideal candidate will
- Have at least 1 year’s experience supporting pupils within a primary setting
- Have a clear DBS within a 1‑year time period
- Be available Monday‑Friday (5 days a week)
- Be empathetic and calm in nature
Main duties
- Build and maintain positive relationships with the pupils
- Provide 1:1 classroom support
- Manage challenging behaviour
- Support pupils consistently with recognising and responding to their individual needs
- Encourage pupils to interact and work cooperatively with others and engage all pupils in activities
