Role Overview
Starting salary for this role is £30,518 (pro rata for part-time colleagues) (Salary effective 1 April 2026). This position is a Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) officer within the BCP Transport Network, working closely with More Bus. The role involves conducting highly visible patrols in targeted areas, using limited enforcement powers to deter anti-social behaviour, reassure the public and respond proactively to emerging issues. You will also help identify and support vulnerable individuals by guiding them towards appropriate services.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out intelligence-led shifts primarily in the afternoons and evenings, with additional weekend coverage on a rota basis.
- Provide reassurance, visible deterrence and rapid response across key transport hubs and on-board buses throughout the BCP area.
- Use limited enforcement powers to deter anti-social behaviour and enforce the law when necessary.
- Identify and support vulnerable individuals, directing them to appropriate services.
- Maintain accurate incident records and produce reports as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Successful completion of NPPV2 vetting through Dorset Police.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom (no visa sponsorship).
