Job Title: HLTA

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Salary: Paid to scale

Responsibilities

• Support students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) with SEMH needs
• Deliver intervention sessions tailored to individual student requirements
• Assist in supporting learning in the classroom environment
• Help manage student behaviours positively and maintain a calm, composed approach under pressure
• Adapt support strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with challenging behaviours

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or relevant Level 4 qualification
• Experience working with secondary‑aged students with SEMH needs
• Strong behaviour‑management and de‑escalation skills
• Experience supporting students with challenging behaviours
• Patient, resilient, and proactive attitude
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
