Position: Sixth Form Pastoral Year Lead Post (Term Time Only)
Contract: Fixed Term Maternity Cover until Easter 2027, part time considered.
Salary: £37,280 – pro rata for term time only. (NJC SCP 26)
Start Date: Required September 2026
Job Overview
We are a high‑achieving school committed to Excellence for All. This role supports students with significant barriers to academic progress, providing comprehensive guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Sixth Form to support students experiencing barriers.
- Collaborate with school leaders, teachers, SEND staff, parents/carers, students, and other professionals.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to ensure student success in the Sixth Form.
- Communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working with young people.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
- Desirable: background in counselling, mentoring or teaching.
Benefits and Conditions
Fixed term maternity cover until Easter 2027. Part‑time roles considered.
Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS required; references to be provided before final selection.
