JDS Truck & Van are currently looking to recruit skilled and motivated HGV Technicians to join our growing workshop teams across our dealership network.

What you’ll be doing

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles to manufacturer standards
  • Carrying out diagnostics, repairs, and fault finding
  • Recording defects and keeping accurate service records
  • Working efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
  • Completing all relevant paperwork and job records accurately

What We’re looking for

  • Have previous experience working within the HGV or commercial vehicle industry
  • Candidates with a Level 2 qualification and relevant experience will also be considered
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
  • Have strong communication, problem-solving, diagnostic and repair skills
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Take pride in delivering high-quality work
  • Strong understanding of HGV maintenance practices, health & safety regulations, and transport legislation.
  • Follow safe working practices at all times.
  • Report accidents and incidents promptly.
  • Assist in accident investigations as required.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards within the workspace.
  • Adhere to company QEHS policies and environmental controls.
