NHS Normanton Catering Assistants required
£13.45 per hour plus benefits
Job Description
Do you want part time or full time work in one of the largest catering companies in the UK? We have flexible Catering Assistant roles where you can pick up as many or as few shifts as you like.
Working Hours
Constellation optimises the working schedules of Compass employees, so we can also help you work at over 5,000 venues across the UK on shifts that suit you. This is a Mon‑Fri position; you must be able to cover all days 0700‑1400. Requirements include cold food prep experience, ability to use a till, serve on the counter and assist with washing up and restocking fridges. You need a long‑sleeved black shirt, black trousers & black safety shoes.
Main Responsibilities for Catering Assistants
- Being polite, prompt and friendly to all colleagues and guests
- Communicating with guests and colleagues to ensure smooth delivery.
- Acting in line with guidance and procedures from lead chef and/or room manager to ensure the team operates to its maximum potential.
- Taking pride in your business and adhering to agreed standards with your team.
- Actively seeking to further knowledge and skills and improve personal performance.
- Complying with all company and unit policies with regards to Health & Safety, Food safety, Allergens, Hygiene, Manual Handling and COSHH.
- Personally demonstrating that you take responsibility for your own health and safety.
- Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Enjoying your work, smiling and having fun.
Skills / Qualifications
