Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Connect Academy Trust is looking toappoint highly skilled HLTA’s to support the children’s learning. Therole will include delivering interventions and covering classes during plannedor unplanned teacher absence. This would be an ideal role for an aspiringteacher or a recently qualified teacher wishing to gain more classroomexperience.

As part of your role you may berequired to:

• cover teacher or support staff absence,e.g. for sickness absence, courses etc;
• plan, manage and deliver interventionsacross a key stage;
• cover the class to allow a teacher torun interventions;
• attend meetings as required sometimesat the start or end of a school day
• plan, teach and evaluate lessons dailywith some support from teachers (Y6 Intervention HLTA) ;
• assess and mark work completed withteaching groups and classes
