CÉ LA VI London is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sommelier to curate exceptional wine experiences and elevate our guest journey through expert recommendations and outstanding service.
- Curate and maintain an exceptional wine program aligned with the CÉ LA VI brand and dining experience.
- Provide expert wine recommendations and pairings to guests, ensuring a personalised and memorable experience.
- Maintain strong knowledge of wines, champagnes, spirits, and beverage trends.
- Support the service team with wine training and product knowledge to enhance overall guest engagement.
- Manage wine inventory, stock rotation, cellar organisation, and ordering processes.
- Work closely with chefs and management on wine pairings, promotions, and special events.
- Ensure proper wine service standards, storage conditions, and presentation are consistently maintained.
- Build strong relationships with guests and contribute to creating an elevated and sophisticated dining atmosphere.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Sommelier within a high-end restaurant, luxury hospitality, or fine dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of international wines, regions, vintages, and food pairings.
- WSET certification or equivalent qualification is highly preferred.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests.
- Strong organisational skills and understanding of inventory management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining service excellence.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
