What is the job role?

In this role, you will not only assess learner competence against awarding organisation standards but also play a vital part in identifying additional learning needs. You will use Cognassist and other diagnostic tools to review learner profiles, recommend reasonable adjustments, and ensure every learner has the support they need to succeed.

Key responsibilities include: reviewing and interpreting Cognassist results and other assessment methods to identify potential learning difficulties or neurodiverse needs; developing tailored support plans and recommending reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act; maintaining accurate records of assessments, learner progress, and support interventions; working collaboratively with tutors, support staff, and internal quality assurance teams to ensure high assessment standards and practice; contributing to continuous improvement in assessment strategies and learner support.

All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
