The Job

An established fresh produce business is seeking a Harvest Manager to take full responsibility for harvest operations across multiple crops. Reporting to senior management, you will lead harvest planning, labour management and quality delivery, ensuring crops are harvested efficiently, safely and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day to day harvest operations across a range of field crops
• Lead, motivate and develop a large seasonal workforce and supervisory team
• Plan and allocate labour to meet changing crop and production demands
• Monitor productivity, quality and costs, taking action where required

  The Candidate

  • Proven experience in a harvest or farm management role
  • Strong people management skills, particularly with seasonal or diverse teams
  • Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding of crop quality standards and harvest processes
  • Confident with data, record keeping and basic IT systems
  • Flexible with working hours during peak periods
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience with fresh produce crops (e.g., vegetables or soft fruit)
  • Knowledge of performance-based pay systems

  The Package

  • Salary up to £55,000 dependent on experience

  Candidate Requirements

  All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
