Mission

As a Beauty Consultant for Guerlain, you are a brand ambassador. In your role you must achieve sales targets while promoting the brand image and providing a personalised luxury service to customers. Through your passion for the brand you will demonstrate an attitude that befits Guerlain at all times.

Position Details

Position: Beauty ConsultantLocation: H Beauty EdinburghHours: Part‑time – 18 hours

Job Responsibilities

  • Pro‑actively sell Guerlain products and meet or exceed sales targets set by your line manager.
  • Link sell across product categories to increase average transaction value and units.
  • Provide a luxury standard of service to customers.
  • Be knowledgeable on all Guerlain products and propose personalised products to clients, confidently overcoming objections.
  • Demonstrate products through flash make‑overs and explain benefits to clients.
  • Initiate contact with customers and welcome them on counter and through transit traffic.
  • Identify, understand and reformulate client needs.
  • Develop personal relationships with clients to gain loyalty.
  • Educate clients on Guerlain products and the brand.
  • Participate in merchandise management in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Monitor stock levels, report issues, and ensure sufficient inventory.
  • Perform all assigned operational and administrative tasks.
  • Act as a Guerlain brand ambassador and representative at all times.
  • Adhere to all company procedures, policies and store guidelines.
  • Build relationships with store management and comply with additional duties as directed by the management team.

Qualifications / Profile

  • Reports to: Business / Account Manager.
  • Internal contacts: Counter team, Area Managers, Retail Managers, RMA’s.
  • External contacts: Guerlain clients, Department store colleagues, Department store managers, Department store HR departments.
  • Tenacious and willing to go the extra mile to deliver the very best luxury service.
  • Driven, results‑oriented, and capable of growing the business through events and counter activity.
  • Self‑confident, approachable, and skilled in selling and engaging with customers.
  • Proficient in cosmetics and make‑up application, with strong communication skills to recommend key items to fit customer needs.
  • Immaculately groomed and presented, embodying the elegance that customers associate with Guerlain.
